Non-Development

Agile / Scrum / Lean principles can be applied to all kinds of disciplines, although it typically requires some adaptation to make it work. These 1-2 day courses are specific examples of that adaptation. At the end of the course discipline team is set up up so they can start working immediately using what they have learned:

Training on Specific Subjects

As a result of the change to the new approach, often there is a need for specific subjects to be addressed to ensure effectiveness: 

  • The Role of Management: 1 day course with middle management to help them understand the role of the manager in the new environment, areas to focus on and how to work with individuals and teams.
  • Agile Testing: 1 day course with product groups (teams, management responsible for delivering a product or project) to help them take an overall view of testing, understand their current status and take steps to improve how they test.
  • Agile User Experience (UX): 2 day course to help UX teams become Agile and also to integrate smoothly with Agile development teams.
  • Budgeting / Forecasting and Estimating. 1 day course aimed at helping people get better at estimation, improve their forecasts and work through a plan against a budget.
  • Systems Thinking. 1-2 day course aimed at the leadership of an organization to help them understand a total systems view of their processes, how to visualize the system, how to improve delivery associated with that system, and how to avoid sub-optimization.

Basic Team Training

This is "traditional" Agile / Scrum team training.

  • Scrum Team Kick-off: 2-3 day course where the whole team trains together to learn about Agile, Scrum and lean and set themselves up for their first Sprint.
  • Scrum Master Training: 1 day course, which assumes you went through the team training with your team aimed at helping you become a great Scrum Master.
  • Product Owner Training: 1 day course, which assumes you went through the team training with your team aimed at helping you become a great Product Owner.
